SmythOS Weekly Update: Stability and Usability Fixes (July 28–August 3, 2025)

week 51 sprint smythos changelog weekly update

This week’s SmythOS update focused on reducing friction in your daily workflow. With changes like clearer debug messages and smarter UI behavior, these improvements help you stay in flow, avoid distractions, and get things done with less effort.

Faster Deployment, Fewer Clicks

The deploy section now opens expanded by default, so you can start deploying agents right away. We also removed the close icon from the embed view and unified all backgrounds to white. This creates a more consistent look and saves you time when setting up deployments.

Debugging That Actually Tells You What’s Going On

Starting or completing a debug session? You’ll now see clearer messages that use proper line breaks and shorter component names. This makes it easier to understand what’s happening while you’re testing and building, especially in large or complex agents.

Less UI Confusion, More Confidence

A few design inconsistencies have been ironed out to make your workspace feel more stable and predictable:

  • The Zapier API Key modal now has consistent background styling.
  • The note component no longer hides connection lines, so your agent diagrams stay readable.
  • Sidebar toggling no longer causes the canvas to shift or jump.
  • In the Builder, the left sidebar no longer overlaps the inspect bar at the bottom.
  • Pressing Ctrl+P now properly focuses the search input, so power users can move faster.

Help links throughout SmythOS now open in a new tab, not the current one. This applies to:

  • The Account Deletion warning modal
  • The Docs link in the sidebar
  • The Analytics page’s documentation link

No more accidentally closing your workspace just to check help content.

System Agent Protection

The built-in system agent “Claude” is now protected from editing. This prevents unintentional changes and keeps system functionality stable for everyone.

All these updates are now live in your SmythOS workspace.
