This month’s first weekly SmythOS update is packed with usability improvements and important bug fixes that help you avoid errors, work more smoothly, and keep your workflows running without hiccups. No new features this sprint, but plenty of refinements that make a difference.
Smarter Drag & Drop with Helpful Warnings
Now, if you try to drag a component outside the canvas, you’ll see a clear warning. This helps you avoid mistakes and keeps your designs tidy and error-free.
Longer Responses Made Possible
We increased the default max output tokens, meaning your AI-generated responses can be longer and more detailed, helping you get richer results without interruptions.
Handling Long Text Just Got Easier
If you paste long blocks of text (over 55 lines or 4000 characters), SmythOS automatically converts it into a neat .txt attachment with a preview. This keeps your chat interface clean and readable, so you and your support team can focus on what matters.
We widened some narrow input fields and added a textarea for JSON credentials. Editing complex data just became easier and less frustrating.
Fixes That Make Your Experience Smoother
- No More Jumpy Sidebars: We fixed the right sidebar so it transitions smoothly when you switch components.
- Responsive Controls Fixed: Top right controls no longer overlap on smaller screens. This means that everything stays accessible.
- Web Search & Scrape Components Now Work: The Web Search and Web Scrape components are back in action on staging, so you can test your workflows properly.
- Workflows No Longer Freeze: Fixed issues where workflows stalled at Code and Computer Use components in staging, so that your automation runs smoothly again.
- OpenAPI Components Recognize Your Keys: API key errors are gone, meaning OpenAPI features work as expected.
- Chatbot Responds Correctly: The chatbot no longer replies with just a dot and you get real, helpful answers again.
- Readable Weaver Responses: We fixed invisible text in Weaver sidebar responses so you never miss important info.
- Tooltips Fully Visible: No more cutoff tooltips, so all info icons show complete guidance.
- User Management Works: Editing teammates on custom plans no longer crashes the page.
- Clean Canvas on Small Screens: Canvas buttons hide properly on smaller devices, reducing clutter.
- Full Tooltip Text: Tooltips in Agent Skill debug modal now show completely for better clarity.
- Agent Settings Scrollbar Fixed: The scrollbar now starts at the top so navigation tabs are always visible.
- LLM Dropdown & Updates Fixed: Default LLM dropdown loads properly and updating custom LLMs works without errors.
