Account Deletion
Permanently remove your SmythOS account and associated data, once all validation checks are passed.
Pre-Deletion Checklist
Before you can delete your account, make sure the following are completed:
Data and Backups
- Export important agents and workflows
- Download any analytics reports you want to keep
- Save configurations and custom integrations
Team Management
- Remove all team members from your organization
- Transfer ownership of any shared assets if needed
Billing and Subscriptions
- Cancel any active subscriptions from My Plan
- Resolve any pending billing issues
- Download final invoices for your records
External Connections
- Remove or reassign custom domains
- Delete API keys from vault
- Clean up any active external integrations
How to Delete Your Account
Once you’ve completed the checklist, follow these steps:

Go to Account Settings
Open your user profile from the top-right menu. -
Click “Delete Account”
This button appears only if you're the owner and all conditions are met. -
Review Final Warning
A confirmation dialog will appear outlining what will be deleted. -
Email Confirmation
- Check your inbox for a deletion confirmation email
- It contains a one-time 15-minute session booking link
- Click the link to verify your deletion request
- Complete any additional verification steps shown

Confirm Deletion
Once confirmed, your account and all associated data will be permanently removed.
Validation Rules
SmythOS prevents account deletion if certain conditions are still active. These are checked automatically.
Account Owner Deletion Rules
Case: Active Subscription
Your account cannot be deleted while you have an active subscription.
What to Do:
- Visit My Plan
- Cancel your subscription
- Wait for confirmation
- Retry account deletion
Case: Active Team Members
Your account cannot be deleted while you have active team members.
What to Do:
- Go to Team Members
- Remove all members except yourself
- Confirm everyone is removed
- Retry account deletion
Case: Both Conditions
Account deletion blocked. You must remove all team members and cancel your subscription.
What to Do:
- Remove all team members
- Cancel your plan
- Retry deletion once both are resolved
Non-Owner Accounts
You do not have permission to delete this account.
What to Do:
- View the current owner in Team Members
- Contact the owner to initiate deletion
- Reach out to support if needed
Troubleshooting and Support
If you still can’t delete your account:
- Double-check that all team members are removed
- Confirm your subscription has been cancelled
- Check your role under Roles and Permissions
- Contact support for additional help
