Alexander De Ridder

Co-Founder & CTO, SmythOS

At age 13, I got my first computer and started programming in Pascal. Between coding and editing fashion shoot pictures in Photoshop for my dad, a famous hair stylist, I developed a love for both art and science. I see myself as an artist—I paint with code and my teams, and the internet is my canvas.

I speak Dutch, English, French and Spanish, and read a bit of German, Russian and Latin. I know enough physics, biology, chemistry, geography, psychology, politics, history, finance and philosophy to have fascinating discussions across disciplines.

In 2006 I moved to the USA from Belgium. Since then, I’ve co-founded several businesses and enjoyed successful exits. I’m what you’d call the technical co-founder, in the EOS system, the visionary.

I love humanity and care deeply about making technology that works for everyone. This is reflected in our global team. I love giving our team a vision to be excited about, a purpose to rally around, a future to strive toward, colleagues who elevate you, and the confidence that you can achieve more than you think you’re capable of.

I want to make the internet of agents accessible to everyone. I long for a future where humans can engage in meaningful creative work, what I love to call soulcraft, rather than economic subsistence labor, a world where mothers are economically valued more than receptionists. The agent-to-agent economy is exactly what can make this a reality.

I hope you join us.
